Seven ecopods of soil-based watercolor paint set in cherry (lighter) and walnut (darker) wooden palettes.
In soil science, an aggregate is a naturally occurring cluster where primary soil particles (sand, silt, and clay) bind together much more strongly to each other than to surrounding particles. These secondary units, also called peds, form the foundational building blocks of soil structure. More here.
A social aggregate is a subgroup of people who share characteristics or concerns - like us, folks who are curious about the intersection of soil and art.
Palettes are 2.7” x 7.3” x 1” and contain 7 ecopods set in the wells with a mixing space on the underside of the lid and can be held closed with 2 magnets. Wood palettes are packaged in a compostable bag with a color info card and set in a box.
